Admission to ENSEA is exclusively gained by entry examination. Usually, registration for the examinations starts in January and written tests take place in April of each year. Created in 1961, the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Statistique et d’Economie Appliquée d’Abidjan (ENSEA) is a National Public Establishment which celebrates in 2021 its 60 years of existence and experience in the service of Africa’s development.

Created in 1961, the Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Statistique et d’Economie Appliquée d’Abidjan, editor’s note), ENSEA, is a National Public Institution whose vocation is to provide training for statisticians in French-speaking African countries. In June 1969, due to its increasingly international character, a text law established the school as a higher education public institution with a civil personality and financial autonomy. To date, it has trained about 4,000 statisticians from more than twenty (20) countries in Africa and Haiti.
