On Friday, April 1, 2022, Dr. Hugues KOUADIO, Director of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Statistique et d’Economie Appliquée (ENSEA) in Abidjan, presented certificates to auditors of the National Statistical Office (NSO).
The graduation ceremony for the NSO auditors was chaired by Dr. YEO Nahoua, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Planning and Development.
The Director of ENSEA welcomed the successful completion of the training which took place from 07 December 2020 to 22 January 2021. He indicated that this activity is part of the statistical systems capacity-building prgramme.
These are 60 agents of the NSO, now equipped in programming and computer development, database management, data collection and processing, data analysis and geographic information system, and now more able to produce quality statistical data.
To produce these statistics, whose importance in the development planning process is no longer in question, highly qualified human resources are needed, noted Dr. N’guessan DOFFOU, NSO Director.
As for Dr. YEO Nahoua, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Planning and Development representing Mrs. Nialé KABA, he was pleased with the excellent collaboration between the Ministry of Planning and Development. The representative of Mrs. Nialé KABA, invited the two institutions to strengthen their cooperation in many other areas of respective expertise.
This training, conducted by ENSEA Continuing Education Department, was funded by the French Development Agency (AFD) through the Contract of Debt Relief and Development (C2D).
