As part of the African Centre of Excellence (ACE) project, young girls admitted to ENSEA entrance exams for the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 academic years in the Engineering Senior Statistician (ITS) and Engineering Senior Statistician and Economist (ITS) programmes each received a computer on Wednesday 11 December 2019.
Announced at the traditional start of the academic year by Dr. Hugues KOUADIO, Director of ENSEA of Abidjan, the donation of these computers is part of the activities to promote statistical studies among young girls in the science studies.
Indeed, since 2017, ENSEA has been conducting awareness-raising campaign for young girls in science studies through:
- Awareness campaigns;
- Free preparatory courses for entry examinations for candidates at the Engineering programme level
- A donation of a laptop computer to those who passed the examinations
There are a total of 39 winners from several countries, including 4 Beninese, 1 Burkinabe, 15 Cameroonian, 16 Ivorian, 1 Malian and 1 Togolese. They were all very happy to receive this gift, which allows them to better invest in their training.
