ENSEA of Abidjan in partnership with the INP-HB of Yamoussoukro and the ISFA of Lyon organizes the naming ceremony of the first class of the Master in Actuarial Sciences.
This graduation ceremony will take place on April 05th at ENSEA amphitheatre in the presence of the Minister of Planning and Development, the patron of theclass, Mr Jean KACOU DIAGOU, the French Ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire and the Professional Members of Copil (Insurance Director, President of IACI, President of ASACI).
The “Actuarial” master’s degree, organised in partnership with the ISFA of Lyon and INPHB of Yamoussoukro, aims to train specialists in statistics and finance in risk assessment and management; and more generally professionals from insurance, pension funds and provident institutions, banking and asset management. It is open to students at the end of their studies in the courses of the engineering programmes of Senior Statisticians-Economists (ISE) at ENSEA and Higher Insurance Studies (HEA) at INP-HB. During this graduation ceremony, some twenty students will receive their graduation diplomas and will increase the number of actuaries in Côte d’Ivoire.
Since 1987, ENSEA has opened a training program for Senior Statisticians-Economists (ISE) . In this training course, the third year allows students to specialize in several areas of study. In 2017, ENSEA split the “Finance-Actuarial Studies” specialisation into two options “Actuarial” and “Finance” . Through the opening of the “Actuarial” specialization programme, ENSEA of Abidjan and its partners wish to promote the actuarial studies and provide students with the necessary weapons to evolve towards positions of high responsibility or other environments, for example in technical and financial management by providing them with an on-the-job training that is as excellent as that offered in European universities.
