After the regions of North, West and South of Côte d’Ivoire, on February 5, 2020, the Lycée Moderne de Bouna in the region of Bounkani in the east of the country hosted the ENSEA statistical training awareness campaign geared towards young girls in science studies.
Welcomed by Mrs. DIARRA, Principal of this school, the delegation after presenting its courtesies was led into the classroom dedicated to the sensitization session. It presented the school, its different training courses and the integration process of ENSEA through the Statisticians Analysts course, to the girls in final classes of science studies.
In Bouna, as in all the localities visited by the campaign, it is through a film projection, testimonies of young women graduates of ENSEA and the message of the Minister of Planning and Development, a regional executive, herself a Senior Statistician Economist and godmother of the Awareness Campaign, that young girls were made aware of their interest in statistical training. This information session enabled the students to ask questions to better understand the message conveyed by the ENSEA delegation.
As a Centre of Excellence and Leader of statistical training in Africa, the ENSEA delegation made a point of congratulating the girls who distinguished themselves brilliantly during the first term, to stay the course because they also have the same capacities and aptitudes as men to succeed in the field of science and particularly to embrace the profession of statistician.
After Bouna, the next steps are as follows :
– Lycée Moderne of Bondoukou 1& 2, 06/02/2020
– Lycée Moderne of Abengourou on 07/02/2020
