As part of the improvement of the training quality at the level of the African Centre of Excellence (ACE) statistical training project, the Directors of Studies of the network of African statistical schools are meeting in Abidjan to prepare the implementation of the pedagogical renovation.
The workshop on pedagogical renovation takes place in plenary session with presentations from 8 to 12 October 2019 at the École Nationale Supérieure de Statistique et d’Économie Appliquée (ENSEA) in Abidjan.
Directors and Directors of studies of ENSEA of Abidjan, ENSAE of Dakar and ISSEA of Yaoundé work specifically to :
- Validate the syllabus of the AS (Statistical Analysts) and ISE (Senior Statistician Economist) training programmes;
- Resolve transition and gateway issues;
- Finalize the advocacy of the pedagogical renovation outcomes;
- Prepare the communication campaign on the pedagogical renovation outcomes
This workshop is a follow-up to the workshop to identify employers needs, which was held from 30 to 31 May 2018 under the chairmanship of the representative of the Minister of Planning and Development of Côte d’Ivoire, and the workshop to validate training programmes proposals in line with the needs identified by the consultants, held from 29 to 31 October 2018.
Representing the Director of ENSEA, Mr KOUAKOU Jean Arnaud, Director of Studies at ENSEA Abidjan, welcomed his hosts from Cameroon and Senegal and wished them fruitful exchanges.
