Centre of Excellence

Created in 1961, the Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Statistique et d’Economie Appliquée d’Abidjan, Editor’s Note), ENSEA, is a National Public Institution whose vocation is to provide training for statisticians in French-speaking African countries. In June 1969, due to its increasingly international character, a law established the school as a higher education public institution with civil personality and financial autonomy.

Leader in statistical training in Africa

ENSEA of Abidjan is the first statistical training school in Africa. Since its creation, it has maintained the course of excellence in the training it provides for executives and middle managers from 27 African countries. It is part of the Network of African Statistical Schools (RESA) with ISSEA of Yaoundé and ENSEA of Dakar.

A network of statisticians around the world

More than 4000 Executives and Middle Managers have been trained by ENSEA since 1961. These graduates can be found all over the world and are still in contact with their juniors in the school’s various training courses. This “Senior-Junior” relationship facilitates the integration of graduates into professional life with an integration rate of around 90% three months later.

A certified institution with an international reputation

With two labels to its credit and a national distinction (WAEMU Regional Center of Excellence since 2005 and World Bank African Centre of Excellence in 2015) as well as the most modern public administration award in Côte d’Ivoire in 2017, ENSEA is recognized both nationally and internationally as an institution of excellence. Its graduates are sought-after for their skills.

For more than 50 years since its creation, ENSEA has included academic partners, institutional support, research institutions and alumni in its network. These partnerships aim to strengthen the school’s influence and create professional opportunities, exchanges and sharing of experiences.

CONTINUING TRAINING

In addition to the reputation it has acquired in the field of initial training for statisticians and economists for African countries, ENSEA provides introductory and advanced training in various fields for a wide audience (public and private administration executives).

INITIAL TRAINING

ENSEA of Abidjan is an institution whose vocation is to ensure the training of statisticians for African countries. This training is delivered through four distinct cycles, designed according to the level of student recruitment and the career envisaged at the end of the training.

ONLINE TRAINING

Through MOOC (Massive Online Open Courses), or FOAD (Open Distance Training) you have the possibility to train from home.
