ENSEA (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Statistique et d’Economie Appliquée) is a higher education institution in Côte d’Ivoire. Its vocation is to train statisticians and economists from French-speaking African countries. For several years, it has been open to Portuguese and English-speaking countries. In addition to these training activities, ENSEA is also involved in conducting research projects and aims to develop its research activities. As part of its development, particularly its research activities, ENSEA is recruiting two full-time research assistants.
Duties
The research assistant supports the research activities developed by ENSEA researchers.
Activities
Under the supervision of the lecturer-researchers, he is tasked with:
- Archiving the data and metadata of the studies carried out;
- Exploiting existing databases to produce working documents;
- Assisting in the drafting of research protocols;
- Writing collection tools and manuals;
- Assisting in drafting research protocols;
- Writing collection tools and manuals;
- Training collection agents;
- Assisting in the preparation of collection operations;
- Assisting in the implementation of statistical and econometric work;
- Building, processing and using macro and microeconomic databases;
- Assisting researchers in their bibliographic research and in writing literature reviews;
- Producing two research papers per year;
- Assisting in the setting up of a dissemination platform;
Skills required
- Statistician (ISE, ITS or AD) or Master’s degree in economics with econometric skills;
- Good command of statistical and econometric tools;
- Good command of French and English;
- Interest in research issues;
- At least six months experience in a similar position;
- Proactive.
