As part of the implementation of the Performance Monitoring for Action (PMA) project in Côte d’Ivoire, the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Statistique et d’Economie Appliquée (ENSEA) has been ensuring the technical implementation of the project’s activities since 2019. For this task, ENSEA benefits from the programmatic support of Jhpiego and the technical support of the Gates Institute.
In order to ensure national ownership, a Monitoring Advisory Committee has been set up. This committee is chaired by the National Mother and Child Health Programme. To date, six meetings of this committee have been held and have mainly covered the implementation of phase 1 of the project. These meetings resulted in the drafting of recommendations for advocacy in favour of the sexual and reproductive health of women and young people and ended with the national workshop for disseminating the results to the general public on Thursday 29 July 2021 at ENSEA.
Following these activities, the ENSEA team began the implementation of phase 2 of the project. Thus, several activities have been carried out to date in the framework of this phase 2. In particular, the recruitment and training of agents and the collection of data in the 122 enumeration areas (EAs) of the survey.
In order to present the various progress made and plan the dissemination of this second phase of the project, the seventh meeting of the Monitoring Advisory Committee (MAC) members is being organised under the leadership of the MAC. This meeting is scheduled for Thursday 24 February 2022.
